My hedgehog refuses to eat bugs...I'm worried the man I got him from didn't feed him bugs is that bad?

My hedgehog likes tacos. We trapped a skunk using catfood. We opened the trap so he could get out. Came back outside a 1/2 hour later and Pepe had fallen asleep in the cage all full of catfood and didnt leave till the next day.

@HospitalWaste Insects have good nutritional content for hedgies, so you should try to get some. You can get them online.

I have a hedgehog named sam. I am Canadian but i live in Hongkong and have managed to find him a good brand of cat food. I was never told that i need to feed him insects... Is it important to feed him insects? I dont have any idea where i would buy insects here. It would be appeciated if you could help me with this. I feed him fruits for treats because he loves apples and watermellon. I also feed him cat food as his main course. Would it be causing damage if i didnt feed him insects??
