I drive because I like to burn gas, there's no other reason

Electric vehicles like this would use hardly any electricity (far less than a kwh a day, less than your fridge or kettle) and the full energy balance is favourable against cycling with human power, due to crop energy requirements and human muscle inefficiency. It is simply impossible for humans to compete with small, low speed electric vehicles of this type, especially as the mix of electricity starts to favour renewables.

They mean minimal emissions
xar51 (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
Yeah its not zero emissions. What about all the CO2 the driver is putting out?
Imprezaman555 (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
@Wolfrocker101 also, even burning coal is better than burning oil. I was surprised to find out as well but apparently it is true!

@liamjanin The thing itself is zero emissions. There are a variety of ways to get electricity that are also zero emissions, such as hydro-electric dams and windmills. It's not all burning coal.

@liamjanin out of the socket. What do you think? xD |
