You are from the old school, mate. Test matches is everything for me!! Love the atmosphere and a long winding match that goes to the wire. Even a draw is interesting at times.

Hi there,You mustn't judge so quickly. While fast bowlers do bowl near the 100MPH mark, there are some extremely guileful slow bowlers called spinners and the good ones are dreaded as though they bowl at around 60-65 mph, they end up spinning the ball and deceiving the batter. Also, cricket batters would relish the opportunity of hitting a ball without bouncing (full toss). In fact if it was known to them beforehand that the ball isn't going to bounce, they would never get out!

There was,nor is,nor will be a bowler like Wasim Akram.Bowling is known by wasim akram! Best Ever Legend Wasim Akram!

A full ball is far easier to hit than a swinging or spinning ball, despite the superior pace of a full ball. There is no room for subtlety in baseball. A spinner of the calibre of Shane Warne can never find a place in Baseball, simply because he relies on guile and variations in pace below the 60 mph mark. Adam Gilchrist of Australia and Sanath Jayasuriya of Srilanka will be smacking their lips anticipating full pitches without having to bother countering the swing or spin!!

Cricket differs far more han basegball than I had previously thought... I'd like to she a full match sometime. But from watching several of these instructional videos I have gathered that baseball is far superior. Having baserunners makes more sense to me,(as well as having nine, three out innings) plus with major leaguers pitching at 100+mph and batters using a round bat it seems as if baseball is a bit more difficult. |
